Soludo Inspects 3.341Km Akpaka-Nsugbe Road, Says APGA Keeps It’s Vows

APGA is a party that keeps its promises, according to Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State.

He said it during the inspection of the 3.341 km Akpaka-Nsugbe Road conducted by Tec Engineering Nigeria LTD.

“We are constructing this road because we keep our promises! When I am elected Governor, I’ll fix this road, I’ve decided. It is a promise that was made and now kept.

“In 2016, my predecessor begged me to support him, and in return, in 2021, he did the same for me, demonstrating that promises were kept. If we make a promise, we keep it “said Soludo.

Governor Soludo welcomed the residents of Akpaka and announced that he and his team had come to assess the amount of work being done.

Speaking with the contractor, he revealed that they are only 20% complete in a contract that calls for completion in four months after he drove through the road.

Governor Soludo went on to say that it is unacceptable that the project is only 20% complete and the public is whining about how slowly it is going and expecting to see a significant portion of the road asphalted by this point.

He added that he will return by the end of the following month and ask the Contractor to asphalt half of the road; if not, he will end their contract.

The Contractor consented to the Governor’s demands and agreed to pave half of the road by the end of March when he next comes for an inspection.

APGA Candidate for Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency (Liver to Deliver), Hon. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, received special praise from the Governor, who revealed that after speaking with him in a hotel in Awka, he was convinced he was the best choice to represent Onitsha North and South.

He remembered how Hon. Ibuzo, putting aside his own needs, spoke passionately about Apkaka Road and how strategically important it is.

The Governor remarked that he was astounded by how Hon. Ibuzo spoke so much about the road and not his own needs, and that conversation left him thinking about Akpaka road, which he had not yet visited.

He urged the populace to vote en masse for APGA and participate in the National Population Census, which will take place between the end of March and the beginning of April, while also describing Onitsha as the largest city in the South East and Obi Ndigbo.

The Governor continued to emphasize on the National census and went on to describe how the Federal Government distributes resources based on the population of each community.

He claimed that the scarce resources allocated in Anambra were due to the low turnout. He stressed the importance of turning up in their full numbers to be counted so they won’t be neglected when resources are distributed.

Onitsha is making great history, according to the TC Chairman for Onitsha North, Hon. Charles Ozoma, because the city’s residents have been pleading for the construction of this road for many years. And because these roads are being built, he is currently unsure of how to properly convey his happiness. He claimed that the stakeholders and the 15 Onitsha wards are all present today to welcome the Governor. The northern region of Anambra State, in particular, he claimed, would be accessible via the road.

APGA Candidate Onitsha North 1 Constituency Hon Tony Nweze Nwora expressed his joy at Governor Soludo’s visit.

In the past, Governors have made promises but failed to keep them; however, according to Hon. Harold Ekwerekwu, APGA candidate for the Onitsha North 2 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, the Governor has now made their dreams come true.

Mr. Governor was greeted by Hon. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, APGA candidate for Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency. He referred to the construction of the Akpaka road as his brainchild.

He revealed how he called landlords and stakeholders to intervene on the road and advised them to pay attention and cast a sizable number of votes for APGA because Mr. Solution had arrived and was altering the political narrative.

Dr. Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, APGA candidate for Anambra North Senatorial District, recalled how her husband sought advice from many people before selecting Prof. Soludo as the party’s candidate for Governor because they believed he was the most qualified individual to advance the state’s affairs. She informed the populace that Mr. Solution was present and characterized APGA as an Oganiru movement. She assured those who would vote for APGA that she would do a good job of representing Onitsha North.

The Commissioner for Youths, Mr. Patrick Aghamba, APGA Publicity Secretary, Mr. Tex Okechukwu, President-General Onitsha, Chief Ekweogbu, HM Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe (Agbogidi, Obi of Onitsha) amongst others attended the event.
