Former Big Brother contestants from Nigeria and South Africa (Mzansi) will feature in the next edition of the reality TV show.
The former contestants will feature in the 2023 edition titled: “Big Brother face-off.”
“Big Brother Face-Off”, a new spinoff edition where all the winners so far will be brought together on the show.
The “all-stars” match-up between Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi will be filled with only winners from previous seasons.
After seven and five seasons of Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi respectively, MultiChoice and M-Net have revealed ongoing plans to assemble all the winners on “Big Brother Face-Off”.
According to Nomsa Philiso, MultiChoice’s head of programming, “In 2023, we’ll be starting the year off with a bang, which will be the giants of Africa coming together on the Big Brother version of South Africa against Nigeria.”
“This has been an incredible, incredible feat for us because we know how well Big Brother Mzansi does, we know how well Big Brother Naija does, but we just felt that it was time to bring the two together. We’re excited about that, and we just think that it’s going to be amazing”, she added.
Reacting to the news, Dorathy Bachor, former BBNaija “Lock Down” housemate took to her social media pages to share her excitement about the merger.
She tweeted: “Big brother SA x Big Brother Naija in one house Mad ooo, 2023 #mcshowcase2022.”
Also sharing a clip of the unveiling event via her insta story, she added: “Big Brother SA x Big Brother Naija 2023 in one house. Mad o!”
