NIGERIA ECONOMIC POLICY UNDER GEN BUHARI, 1983-1985
ABSTRACT
This work discusses nigeria economic policy under gen buhari, 1983-1985.
.A hundred and twenty questionnaires were distributed among people from selected secondary states in Nigeria. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.
Primary and secondary data will be used in the analysis. Tables and percentages will also be used as the instrument of analysis
It will be observed therefore that gen buharis economic policies in 1983 to 1985 is somewhat similar to current policies. Too many of these policies are draconian in nature and does not give a comprehensive evaluation on their trickle down effects. The one sided fulcrum of appointment of economic policy makers have also had a significant effect on quality of output and productivity on governance. Sharp unstructured economic policies in 1983-1985 led to rapid increases in prices of goods and services, and poor economic performance.
It is advised that government should implement economic policies from stand point of how it affects household income and general standard of living in a country.
